All that stats above are from my Google Analytics account – A must have for any blogger or web developer, again it’s another free tool that you are crazy not to use, So you can see there is a bit of variations from the type of phones and screen resolution sizes.

How many time have you visited a site on your iPhone or other smart phone and had to pinch the screen to enlarge it, Yes it is great that you can do that with a smart phone but then you can only read part of the article you end up losing your place on the page and you say ” I’ll wait and check it when I get back home” and what typically happens you never do it, Don’t let your traffic disappear.

There are loads of Free WordPress plugins that you can add to your site that shall detect what type of device the visitor is using and it shall then load the best version of your website onto their screen.

Check out RobbiesBlog.com on your smart phone and then check it on your home computer – See the difference?

The Free plugin I am using is WP Mobile Detector – It is 100% free and that is what I love most about WordPress is there are thousands of free plugins for you to download and test to see what actually works for you and your website traffic but don’t download too many plugins it will slow your site operations down if you have too many running, I try to keep a maximum of about 10 – 12 plugins on RobbiesBlog.com but do search and try different plugins to see what works best for you and your visitors.

How do you visit RobbiesBlog.com, through your smart phone or Computer?

  1. There is huge trend to modify your site to a mobile friendly site. Sites like microsoft.com, icann.org or nokia.com are modified for tablets/mobile phones.
In desktop those sites look bit lame but works great on ipad etc.

  2. Dude, your website is not mobile friendly, fix yours first !!
