The Good and Bad of Running a Domain Blog?

Posted on 28/12/2021

As we approach the end of 2021, I have been reflecting back on the 10+ years of running Robbies Blog, I know some people like the news, others don’t but I was surprised with a message I got on NamePros this week.

I won’t give the user the time or the glory of naming them but they took a real dislike to the post I wrote in the week about Rick Schwartz basically hating on him and saying he wasn’t the domain king and I shouldn’t be publishing incorrect facts and state that Huge Domains were the Domain King as they have 8 Million Names…

It was a random and bizarre series of messages with even some threats towards me but like I explained to this individual we are all entitled to our own opinions and to have a nice day.

Getting the hate for no real reason is one of the bad points on running a blog, however, the good points in my eyes outweigh massively the negatives, I get to write about a topic that I am passionate about domain names.

I have been in the domain name industry for 15 years now and have loved every minute from having a portfolio of 3,000 names which was a mistake in my early days… Size doesn’t always matter…. wink wink… Now I own a few hundred quality domains instead of quantity and then you get some amazing moments like making Five Figures off one post in this blog earlier in the year…

Well back to the domains, below are some of the names I like in auction at GoDaddy and ending in the next 24 hours, check them out below and also what’s dropping at DynaDot too.
