Face Masks are now part of everyday life for many people around the globe, the domain name FaceMasks.com is currently under whois privacy at GoDaddy.com and not resolving when we checked today, I did some digging and appears the domain name was once by domain name investor Jon Shultz also know as Blue String Ventures and later became New Star Media, Jon’s company has owned many powerful domain names over the years and many people learned about Jon with the domain name Ebola.com which Jon tried to sell for $150,000 in 2014, the story was covered by Reuters and discussed how Jon acquired the domain name in 2008 for $13,500 USD and was marketed for $150,000 USD, to the best of my knowledge the domain was sold to Weed Growth Fund in 2015 but the sale price was never announced.
Jon writes on his LinkedIn that his company has invested over $1 million dollars in domain name acquisitions and had earned revenue via sales/parking/affiliate revenue of over $9 million dollars if Jon still owns the domain name FaceMasks.com, who could be the buyer? FaceMask.com is already owned by an end-user – Halyard Health a Billion Dollar company who redirects the name to a page selling children’s Disney face masks, Halyard is now part of the Owens & Minor family, which is focused on advancing health and healthcare by delivering clinically-superior infection prevention and surgical solutions. Halyard sells its recognized sterilization wrap, facial protection, gloves, protective apparel, surgical drapes and gowns in more than 100 countries, and holds leading market positions across the portfolio.
Update – I have spoken with Jon who confirmed the domain was sold a few weeks ago but can’t give any further details at this time – 16/4/20
Formerly part of Kimberly-Clark, Halyard Health became an independent company headquartered in Alpharetta, Georgia on November 1, 2014. Halyard operates 11 global manufacturing facilities with 12,700 employees worldwide – generating approximately $1.6 billion in net revenues – Should they acquire the plural and purchase FaceMasks.com if the domain, of course, is for sale?
Companies such as Apple has started to produce millions of facemasks per week for there employees could they buy the domain and decide to continue to manufacture facemasks?
Have you been wearing a Face Mask? Have you found it difficult to purchase Face Masks? We managed to source some from Amazon and eBay slightly inflated prices but it is expected during this time to pay more as they are in high demand.

Hi Robbie,
Face masks will become an everyday thing for most, if not all people in the world soon. There are lots of related domains registered and being used by many but it’s only a matter of time before virus and infection prevention related businesses and hence domains become a hot property. I won’t be surprised if they sell even better than Crypto and Cannabis related ones.
We own a lot of domains related to these categories and everyday I wake up to a lots of inquiries.
I guess time will tell…………….
But very timely post.
Thanks.
Thanks for your comment DomainBoss.com, I hope those offers get larger and you can let us know of any successful sales.
Sure, will do!
Get lots of inquiries all of a sudden starting few weeks ago but the problem I face is that not much comparable sales data to price the domains properly.
Hopefully as sales start to happen, it will help in proper pricing the related domains. Thanks.
Shall be good to hear in the future.
That’s my problem. I have a mask domain I’ve acquired just not sure how much to sell for. I know mask domains are hot right now, so I know what minimum I would like. The name I am selling would be helpful in telling people where mask are required.
