Geoffrey Nunberg, professor at UC Berkeley’s School of Information, created a timeline of the history of information dating back to 20,000 B.C. when cave paintings were used to document important facts and details. Flash forward to 1998 when President Clinton’s full testimony receives millions of hits when it is released on the web, marking the coming of age of the Web as a means for the dissemination of public information. The Information.com domain name offers significant potential to a new or established player to capitalize on the Information Age by creating a convenient channel for both new and savvy Internet users.
